KIZILAY BRANCH
Ankara University TÖMER Kizilay Branch is social and trade centre of Ankara. Kizilay is easily accessible from all parts of the city; Kizilay is on the Cebeci-AŞTİ (Bus Terminal) route of the underground system and connected to Batıkent through the same system. These are bus connections to almost all universities in the city.
Kizilay features a lot of educational and medical institutions as well as various bookstores, culture centres, restaurants, cafés, recreation centres; TÖMER Kizilay Branch serves its learners with its cafeteria in the roof. There is also a library, a video club, a book selling unit in the building.
Güven Park is in Kizilay and Kurtuluş Park and Abdi İpekçi Park are nearby. The Parliament, Prime Ministry and many major ministries are also in Kizilay and its surrounding regions. Two important mosques in Ankara, Kocatep and Maltepe Mosques, are also near TÖMER Kızılay Branch.
TÖMER Kızılay Branch was opened in 1990 with the purpose of teaching Turkish to foreigners and teaching foreign languages, especially English, French and German, to Turkish citizens. TÖMER Kizilay and Tunali branches in Ankara together provide language learning facilities in a total of 2o languages. In addition to general purpose courses, test preparation classes, translation classes, diction classes are organized in Kizilay Branch. TÖMER Kizilay Branch operates in its 8-storey building on Ziya Gökalp Street, in a total of 20 classrooms.
