COURSES

Ankara University TÖMER provides Courses for General Purposes and Courses for Specific Purposes.

Courses for General Purposes include many foreign languages, especially Turkish, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, modern Greek, Chinese, Bulgarian and Dutch. Courses in the Ottoman language, Kazakh language, Kirghiz language and Azeri language are also organized upon demand.

TÖMER also organizes general purpose foreign language courses for primary school students.

Upon completion of elementary and intermediate level, a certificate issued by TÖMER is granted; learners receive TÖMER Diploma issued by Ankara University Rectorship when they complete advanced level. Various public and private institutions consider TÖMER Sertificates and Diploma as official documents to prove language level.

There are two types of courses for specific purposes:

1 – Foreign language courses for specific purposes,

2 – Turkish languages courses for specific purposes.

Foreign language courses for specific purposes are:

·          test preparation classes (KPDS, ÜDS, YDS, TOEFL, Master’s and Doctorate Proficiency Test for Ankara University, DELF, DALF, DELE, CILS, AIESEC, TUS, proficiency test for preparatory classes at universities)

·          translation classes

·          business English

In addition, speaking lessons are organized at TÖMER. These lessons provide TÖMER learners with opportunities to practise the language they learn. Currently registered TÖMER learners attend speaking classes free of charge. For those who are not currently registered at TÖMER, an attendance fee is required.

Turkish courses for specific courses include Diction for an efficient and effective speech, Speed Reading for a rapidly moving time, and Creative Writing for correct and effective writing.
